CREAMY GARLIC SHRIMP PASTA

  • 12 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and chicken broth. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the sauce, and mix well.
  6. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined.
  8. Serve the creamy garlic shrimp pasta garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
