Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 2 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- vegetable oil for frying, about 1 inch thick in a heavy-bottomed pot
For Serving
- powdered sugar for dusting after frying
- chocolate sauce or white chocolate sauce
- strawberry sauce
- Caramel sauce or salted caramel sauce

Instructions
- Heat about 1 inch of oil in a heavy-bottomed deep pot on medium heat.
- Prepare a plate lined with a paper towel and set it aside.
- In a large bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- In a medium-deep bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly combine the wet and dry mixtures to create a smooth batter with no lumps.
- Transfer the batter to a squeeze bottle or batter dispenser.
- When the oil has reached 375 degrees, carefully pipe the batter in strips into the hot oil. (Try not to overcrowd the pot).
Notes
- Mix your batter until it is totally smooth with absolutely no lumps.
- Don't crowd your skillet or deep fryer when making these or they'll be soggy instead of crispy.
- Let the fries cool a bit before serving so they're as crisp as possible.
