Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 large egg room temperature
  • 1 cup potato chips crushed, whole
  • 2 teaspoons mustard powder dry
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. To a large bowl, add ground beef, eggs, potato chips, dry mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Using your hands, mix all the ingredients together until fully combined. Form into four equal patties, about ⅓ pound each.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear each patty for about 2-3 minutes per side. The patties will not be fully cooked.
  4. Spray the bowl of the crockpot with cooking spray and set the patties on the bottom in a single layer.
  5. To a medium bowl, add onion, cream of mushroom soup, and onion soup mix. Stir to combine. Spread the mixture over the patties.
  6. Cook on high for 3 hours, or until patties are cooked through and onions are tender. (The internal temperature of the cooked patties should reach 160°F.)
  7. Serve with mashed potatoes.
