Cucumber and Elderflower Collins
Description
The cocktail incorporates gin mixed with elderflower cordial, soda water, and ice, with long strips of peeled cucumber lining a tall glass. The cucumber adds a clean, fresh aroma and slight vegetal flavor, while elderflower cordial provides a gentle floral sweetness. Stirring the ingredients together helps distribute the flavors evenly throughout the drink. Adding a sprig of mint can introduce a subtle herbal dimension.
This serves as a light, moderately alcoholic beverage that can be prepared as a single glass or scaled up to make a larger jug for multiple servings. It pairs well with light appetizers or can be enjoyed alone as a cooling refreshment.
For larger quantities, multiply the recipe accordingly and keep the mixture chilled. Add ice and mint sprigs just before serving to maintain freshness and appearance.
