Curry ketchup or Currygewürzketchup is a spiced sauce often used in Belgium, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands

Ingredients
- 3 lb tomatoes , ripe, peeled, seeded and diced
- 8 oz. Red Onions , cut into 4
- 2 large red bell peppers , diced
- ⅔ cup raw cane sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 2 cloves
- salt
- black pepper , freshly ground

- Hand mixer
- Glass jars with airtight closure

Instructions
- Place the tomatoes, onions and bell peppers in a saucepan. Add the sugar, salt, all the spices and vinegar.
- Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower the heat and simmer covered over low to medium heat for 30 minutes. Stir frequently.
- Using a hand mixer, mix all the contents of the saucepan.
- Bring the sauce to a boil again.
- Simmer covered, over low heat, for about an hour or until the mixture is slightly thick.
- Immediately distribute the resulting sauce into jars and close tightly.
- Store for approximately 6 months.
