Easy Cherry Cake (2 Ways)

Cherry Cake is one of my absolute favorite cake recipes and we show you how to make two different versions. One uses Maraschino cherries and the other one uses cherry pie filling - both are incredibly easy to make.

Ingredients
Maraschino Cherry Cake
- 1 18 ounce package of White Cake Mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cups vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 3 ounce cherry Jell-O
- 1 10-12 ounces Maraschino cherries drained
- vanilla buttercream frosting
Cherry Pie Filling Cake
- 1 18 ounce package of White Cake Mix
- 1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs

Instructions
Maraschino Cherry Cake
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Blend the cherries food processor and set aside.
- Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil and water in a large bowl. Mix in the Jell-o and pureed cherries.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. Let cool before frosting.
- Top with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting.
Cherry Pie Filling Cake
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Combine the cake mix, cherry pie filling, sour cream and eggs in a large bowl.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes. Let cool before frosting.
Almond Cream Cheese Frosting
- Combine the softened butter and cream cheese. Add in the powdered sugar, almond extract and milk until blended. Frost the top of the cake.
