Easy Homemade Pesto
Description
This Easy Homemade Pesto recipe uses fresh basil leaves and peeled garlic cloves as the aromatic base, combined with pine nuts and freshly grated Parmesan cheese for richness and texture. These ingredients are processed together in a food processor while slowly adding olive oil to achieve an emulsified, creamy sauce.
The resulting pesto captures the bright herbal notes of basil, the subtle heat of garlic, nutty pine nuts, and salty depth from Parmesan. It can be used right away to toss with pasta, spread on bread, or add flavor to salads and sandwiches.
Storing the pesto in an airtight container in the refrigerator preserves its freshness for up to one week. Adjust the seasoning with salt and freshly ground black pepper according to taste before serving.
