Instructions
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment, stir yeast, sugar, and water together.
- Let mixture sit until yeast is foamy, about 5-10 minutes.
- Stir in olive oil, salt, and 2 cups flour.
- Continue adding flour 1/4 cup at a time until dough clears sides of bowl. Dough should be soft, smooth, and elastic.
- Cover, and let dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Use as desired to make pizza, breadsticks, and more.
Notes
- Active dry yeast: If you prefer, you can use instant yeast. Nutrition values are estimates. To use instant yeast, simply skip step 2 and continue with the recipe as-written.
- Kosher salt: You can use 1 teaspoon of (table) salt in place of the kosher salt.
- Bread flour: All-purpose flour can be used in place of the bread flour. The dough won't have quite the chew to it, but it will still work just fine.
- While the dough is resting, I make up a batch of homemade pizza sauce for the pizza.
