Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast cut into 1 inch cubes
- 3 tablespoons gluten-free flour
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Kosher salt and ground pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- ½ tablespoon sriracha/hot chili sauce or to taste
- chopped fresh parsley for garnish
- sesame seeds For garnish: optional
Instructions
- Add the chicken to a large Ziploc bag together with the 3 tablespoons gluten-free flour, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, and Kosher salt and ground pepper.
- Mix through the bag to evenly coat all the chicken pieces.
- Heat the 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large frying pan, over medium-high heat. Add the 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast bites and cook on all sides until golden brown, for about 8-10 minutes in total. You may need to cook the chicken in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Meanwhile, in a small jug add the 3 cloves garlic (minced), 1/4 cup honey, 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce, 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar, and ½ tablespoon sriracha/hot chili sauce Mix well to combine.
- Once the chicken is done cooking, pour over the garlic honey, and stir to completely coat; allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes to meld all the flavors.
- Garnish with fresh Chopped fresh parsley and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
Notes
- any flour of choice can be used.
- serving size is 1/4 of the chicken bites
- honey can be substituted with maple syrup.
- any other oil will work in place of olive oil. Try grapeseed oil or avocado oil
- use fresh garlic if possible. garlic powder will work too but not as flavorful. use 1 tablespoon in place of the fresh garlic.
- do not overcook the chicken or they will dry out and get rubbery.
- store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days
- great for meal prepping.
