Easy Marmite Pasta

Report
Easy Marmite Pasta features spaghetti coated in a savory sauce made from melted butter and marmite, balanced with parmesan cheese and a touch of pasta water for a silky texture. The addition of parsley and seasoning rounds out the dish, providing a simple yet distinctive flavor profile. This recipe is a straightforward way to enjoy marmite as a pasta sauce.

Description

This dish uses cooked spaghetti tossed with a sauce combining marmite, butter, and grated parmesan cheese. Reserving some pasta cooking water adds moisture and helps emulsify the sauce, allowing it to coat the noodles evenly. Black pepper and sea salt provide seasoning, while fresh parsley adds a subtle herbal note at the end.

The cooking is straightforward: spaghetti is cooked according to package instructions, then mixed while warm with the marmite and butter sauce ingredients until melted and combined. The reserved pasta water is stirred in to achieve a smooth sauce consistency. Serving immediately preserves the pasta's texture and the sauce's richness.

Easy Marmite Pasta is suitable as a simple, comforting meal that highlights marmite's unique umami flavor. It can be served on its own or with added proteins or toppings as preferred.

The included notes suggest not skipping the addition of pasta water for the best sauce texture and propose optional variations like adding chili flakes for heat or protein such as bacon, grilled chicken, or chickpeas for a more substantial meal.
