Easy Meatball Subs

Easy Meatball Subs feature ground beef meatballs seasoned with Parmesan, garlic, onion, and oregano, baked and then simmered briefly in marinara sauce. They are served warm on toasted sandwich rolls topped with melted provolone cheese. This sandwich recipe brings together savory meatballs and melted cheese for a classic handheld meal suitable for casual lunches or dinners.

Description

This recipe combines ground beef with eggs, milk, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and parsley to form flavorful meatballs. Rolling the mixture into 1–2 inch balls ensures bite-sized portions. After baking at 350 degrees until cooked through, the meatballs are simmered in marinara sauce to absorb moisture and sauce flavor. Toasted sandwich rolls provide a sturdy base that balances soft meatballs and melted cheese.

Provolone cheese slices laid atop the assembled subs are broiled briefly to melt and bubble, creating a gooey finish. These subs can be served immediately for a warm and satisfying meal.
