- 1 bunch swiss chard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1/4 cup water
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by washing and drying the Swiss chard leaves. Remove stems and set aside. Roll the leaves into a cigar-like shape. Slice horizontally across into chunks about 1-inch wide.
- In a pan, warm oil over medium heat. Toss in minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in water and chard stems and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes. Add the leaves and allow to simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add salt and pepper just before serving. Enjoy!
