Fried Spaghetti

This fried spaghetti recipe is quick, easy, and light. It's a great pasta dish for any day of the week. It even reheats well!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Spaghetti
  • 5 Italian sausages
  • ½ yellow onion chopped
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic 
  • 4 oz parmesan block
  • 2 oz white cheddar cheese block
  • 3 tablespoon fresh basil
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) fire roasted diced tomatoes drained

Instructions

  1. Get out and measure your ingredients.
  2. Bring 4 cups of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti noodles and cook Al dente (12 minutes) drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs , heavy cream, and minced garlic.
  4. Pour into the spaghetti noodles and stir.
  5. Remove the sausage from the casing and cut into small pieces.
  6. Heat a wok over medium high heat. Once hot, pour in the olive oil.
  7. Add the sausage.
  8. and onions. Cook for 5 minutes.
  9. Next, add the butter.
  10. Stir until butter is melted.
  11. Once the butter is melted, add the spaghetti noodles to the wok.
  12. Stir to coat. Season with fresh cracked pepper and red pepper flakes. Cook for 3 minutes,
  13. Then stir in the diced tomatoes.
  14. Cover with a lid. Cook for 5 minutes.
  15. Shred the parmesan and cheddar atop the spaghetti and toss to combine.
  16. Stir in the chopped basil and replace the lid. Turn off the heat and let rest on the stove for 5 minutes.
  17. Garnish with chopped basil and cheese and enjoy!
  18. Serve.
  19. Enjoy every bite.
