Homemade Pizza

Classic homemade pizza with a homemade crust, pizza sauce, toppings and melted cheese!

Ingredients
- 1 Ball of Pizza Dough
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil for rubbing dough
- 1 cup Pizza Sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 2.5 ounces pepperoni about half a 5 oz package
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Place pizza pan or stone in oven while it preheats.
- Turn pizza dough onto a lightly flour surface. Sprinkle with more flour if needed so you can stretch and flatten the dough to your desired pizza size using a rolling pin or your fingers, about 12 inches.
- Remove the pizza pan from the oven, sprinkle with a thin layer of flour and transfer to the pizza dough to it.
- Using a fork, gently press holes in the dough to prevent the crust from bubbling up when it's baking. Drizzle olive oil on pizza dough and brush it evenly over the dough with a pastry brush.
- Top with pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni, or desired toppings.
- Place pizza in preheated oven at 500 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 8-12 minutes. It is done with the crust is crisp on the bottom and cheese is melted on top. Make sure to check the crust even if the cheese is melted as this takes longer to crisp up.
- Remove pizza from oven, cut into slices and enjoy.
Notes
- FRIDGE: Place leftover slices into an airtight container or Ziploc bag with parchment paper or paper towels in between layers. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in the microwave, oven or air fryer (<--- my pick!) until heated through.
- FREEZER: Wrap each slice of pizza in plenty of plastic wrap, or place them in an airtight container or Ziploc freezer bag. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw before reheating and place in the microwave, oven To reheat, place in the microwave, oven or air fryer (<--- my pick!) until heated through.
