Ingredients
- 2 cups raw hazelnuts or roasted store-bought hazelnuts
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup coconut sugar or any other powdered sweetener of your choice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Instructions
- If using raw hazelnuts, preheat the oven to 400 F. Add the hazelnut over a sheet pan and bake for 6-8 minutes until they start to brown.
- Once cooled, using your hands or cloth, rub the toasted hazelnuts together until most of the skin comes off. You do not need to peel completely.
- Using a high-powered blender like a Vitamix or food processor, blend the nuts until they are smooth.
- Next, add all other ingredients and blend for 1-3 minutes until you get a creamy smooth Nutella-like texture!
- Add in a lidded jar and store for up to 2 weeks on your shelf or 2 months in the fridge
