How To Make Persian Tea At Home
Description
This Persian Tea recipe involves brewing loose leaf black tea with boiling water in a teapot, allowing it to steep for 5 to 10 minutes for a strong infusion. You can optionally add flavoring agents such as cardamom pods, saffron strands, rosebuds, or a cinnamon stick to the water during steeping to impart subtle aromatic notes.
Once brewed, the tea is served diluted in small glass cups by mixing a measured amount of the concentrated tea with additional boiling water, enabling personal strength preference, from light to dark tea. Traditionally, it is accompanied by sugar cubes, raisins, dates, or cookies which complement the tea’s robust profile.
Different black teas such as Ceylon, English Breakfast, or Earl Grey can be used to make this tea, allowing flexibility based on taste preference.
