Hot Toddy
Description
The recipe involves adding a teaspoon of honey, 1 1/2 ounces of bourbon, a whole cinnamon stick, and a lemon wedge to a cup, then filling it with water just off the boil. After steeping briefly, the drink is stirred to dissolve the honey and infuse flavors. An additional squeeze of lemon can be added for more acidity.
This drink offers a balance between the sharpness of bourbon, the sweetness of honey, the aromatic spice of cinnamon, and the refreshing citrus from lemon. Its simplicity requires no extensive preparation or cooking.
Often served for relaxation or to soothe during cooler weather, the Hot Toddy can be prepared quickly and enjoyed warm.
