Kalabasa Soup with Ampalaya Leaves

Ingredients

  • 1/2 butternut squash seeds removed, and cubed, medium, peeled
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cups water
  • ampalaya bitter melon leaves, bunch
  • 1 yellow onion sliced, medium
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken broth and water in a cooking pot. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the onion and butternut squash. Boil for 20 minutes.
  3. Put-in the garlic powder. Stir
  4. Put-in the ampalaya leaves. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add salt to taste. Serve.
  6. Share and enjoy!
