Ingredients

Servings

Cheese Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk room temperature
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup White Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese grated, 25 g

Butter Topping

  • ¼ cup butter melted, unsalted; ½ stick / 57 g
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon parsley finely chopped, fresh
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Sliders

  • 1 package King's Hawaiian Rolls 12-count
  • 1 pound turkey breast leftover or thickly sliced deli turkey
  • 2 medium tomato sliced
  • 8-10 lices Bacon cooked and crumbled

Instructions

Cheese Sauce

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in flour and cook until smooth and golden brown (1-2 minutes).
  2. While whisking constantly, slowly pour in the milk.
  3. Add the salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Continue cooking for 3-5 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and add the cheeses. Whisk until fully melted. Set aside.

Butter Topping

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic salt, parsley, and salt. Set aside.

Sliders

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 7x11-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Split the rolls in half, placing the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Top the buns with turkey, tomato slices, cheese sauce, and crumbled bacon.
  4. Place the tops of the buns on top and brush with the melted butter mixture.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is hot and bubbly.
  6. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops of the sliders turn golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve.
