Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups sweet butter room temp
- 1 cup Walnuts or blanched almonds coarse ground
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1 tablespoon brandy
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Add the butter into a bowl and beat until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add 1 cup powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and brandy and mix to combine.
- Slowly add the flour in additions of one cup and then fold the walnuts or almonds into the mixture.
- Using a teaspoon, spoon two teaspoons of the cookie batter and shape them into small balls. Place them onto a lined baking sheet, then slightly press them down. Separate the cookies about 1 1/2 inches on the baking tray.
- Bake the cookies for 20-22 minutes or until lightly golden in color.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and coat them with the remaining icing sugar.
- Place onto cookie platter.

Notes
- To coat the cookies you will need additional 3 cups of icing sugar (powdered sugar).
