Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte/London Fog

This Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte, also known as a London Fog, blends Earl Grey tea with steamed milk, vanilla, and lavender syrup. The beverage can be prepared hot or iced, delivering a fragrant and floral twist on a classic tea latte.

Description

The recipe starts by steeping Earl Grey tea bags in hot water, which extracts the distinct bergamot flavor characteristic of this tea. For the hot version, milk is warmed and frothed before being combined with the brewed tea, vanilla extract, and lavender syrup, creating a creamy and aromatic drink.

For the iced variant, a smaller amount of hot water is used for steeping, and the tea is chilled before mixing with lavender syrup, vanilla, milk, and ice. This method preserves the flavor while providing a refreshing cold drink.

The lavender syrup adds a delicate floral sweetness that complements the citrus notes of Earl Grey. Vanilla rounds out the flavor, creating a balanced and comforting beverage suitable for tea lovers seeking something beyond plain black tea or standard milk tea.
