Lemon and Rosemary Salmon
Description
This recipe uses a 240 g salmon fillet seasoned with a rub made from crushed garlic cloves, finely chopped fresh rosemary, and lemon juice and zest. The mixture brings freshness and aromatic herbal flavor to the naturally rich salmon. The fish is baked in the oven at a moderate temperature for about 15 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
The cooking method keeps the salmon moist and tender, while the lemon cuts through the richness with a hint of acidity. Rosemary adds woodsy herb notes that complement the fish without overpowering it. Sea salt and black pepper provide subtle seasoning.
Serving lemon and rosemary salmon is straightforward and pairs well with light side dishes or seasonal vegetables. It can be prepared comfortably in the oven or cooked on a barbecue wrapped in foil for slightly different texture and flavor. This dish can be easily scaled up or down according to servings.
The recipe notes suggest enhancing sweetness with honey mixed into the rub, substituting rosemary with thyme or dill, topping with Parmesan before baking, and using side portions of salmon. Adjusting cooking method and amounts offers flexibility depending on preference and occasion.
