  • 7 g fast action dry yeast 
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 350 g plain white flour / all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 ½ tablespoon dried rosemary+oregano
  • 125 g grated mozzarella
  • 125 g grated parmesan
  • 30 g melted butter
  • ½ tablespoon olive oil (to grease the dish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the water, dry yeast, and caster sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
  2. Add the flour, olive oil, and salt, and mix everything together until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F), grease a baking dish with olive oil, and line it with parchment paper.
  6. Once the dough has risen, transfer it to the prepared baking dish.
  7. Using your hands, gently press the dough into the dish, spreading it evenly to cover the bottom.
  8. Let the dough rest in the baking dish for another 15-20 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle it evenly with garlic powder and dried rosemary + oregano.
  10. Finally, sprinkle the grated cheese mixture on top of the dough, ensuring even coverage.
  11. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for approximately 20-22 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
  12. Remove the bread from the oven and brush the top of the dough with melted butter.
  13. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
