Mango Lemonade Recipe

Mango Lemonade blends fresh mango puree with lemon juice and honey syrup diluted in water to create a refreshing, sweet-tart beverage. The ripe mangoes give natural sweetness and smooth texture, while lemon juice adds bright acidity. Honey provides a gentle sweetness that balances the tartness without overpowering the fruity flavor. This drink is especially suitable for warm days when a cool, fruity, and lightly sweetened drink is desired.

Description

The Mango Lemonade Recipe uses cubed mangoes blended into a smooth puree, which forms the base of the drink. A homemade honey syrup is prepared by dissolving honey in hot water, then combined with fresh lemon juice and the remaining cold water to balance sweetness and acidity. The beverage is served chilled over ice, making it a cooling, fruity refreshment. The combination of ripe mango’s natural sugars and tangy lemon juice creates a pleasant contrast, while the honey syrup adds a mild sweetness that complements the tropical flavors without artificial taste. Straining the mango puree is optional and depends on your texture preference. This lemonade is easy to make and highlights fresh-squeezed lemon for the best flavor experience.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 3 cups Mango see notes, cubed
  • ½ cup honey see notes
  • ½ cup lemon juice freshly squeezed for the best flavor
  • 6 cups water divided

Instructions

  1. Add the cubed mango to your blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Optional: strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the pulp.
  2. Make the honey syrup by mixing the honey and 1 cup of hot tap water in a cup until the honey dissolves.
  3. Pour the mango juice, honey syrup, lemon juice, and remaining 5 cups of cold water into a pitcher. Stir well then serve over ice.

Notes

  • When substituting sugar for honey, dissolve it by simmering sugar with water to create a syrup.
  • Ataulfo mangoes are preferred for their extra sweetness, but other varieties like sugar mangoes can be used.
