Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup butter melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of M&M's divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silpat mat.
  2. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Beat the melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla with a hand mixer until creamy.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture until just mixed.
  5. Stir in most of the M&M's by hand.
  6. Drop by the spoonful onto a greased or lined baking sheet.
  7. Push more M&M's into the top of each cookie.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges look golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for at least 4-5 minutes before moving to a wire cooling rack. Enjoy.
