  2. Top with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and olive oil then carefully combine.
  3. Without stacking them on top of each other, transfer the bread pieces to your air fryer basket. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5-6 minutes, or until crunchy and golden brown. Make sure to shake your air fryer basket or flip the croutons mid-cooking.
  4. Serve these Ninja air fryer croutons immediately or keep them in a suitable airtight container for later (see storage instructions in the notes below).

Notes

  • Storing leftover air-fried croutons
  • Kept in suitable airtight containers, these homemade air fryer croutons can be stored for up to two weeks, but taste best within the first 2-5 days. Keep leftover croutons in a ziploc bag or an airtight container in a cool and dry place in your kitchen. Avoid keeping them in the fridge, as they will not stay crunchy this way.
  • To freeze, keep them in Ziploc bags and transfer them to the freezer. They will keep for 4-6 weeks. Just bear in mind that the croutons may be soggy upon thawing which shouldn’t be a problem as you can quickly refresh them by air frying them for a few minutes.
