Oreo Hot Chocolate
Report
This Oreo Hot Chocolate recipe is a Dunkin' Donuts copycat that combines rich cocoa, creamy milk, chocolate chips, and Oreo cookies for the perfect cold winter treat twist.

Ingredients
- 3 cups milk we used whole milk, see notes
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ⅓ cup milk chocolate chips
- 5 regular Oreo cookies crushed, or other chocolate sandwich cookies
Instructions
- Add the milk and white sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir well with a whisk until warm, about five minutes.
- Stir in the chocolate chips to the milk. Keep stirring with a whisk until the chocolate chips have completely melted and are mixed with the milk.
- Add in the crushed Oreos and continue to whisk in the pan until well combined.
- Serve and enjoy! Top with whipped cream, marshmallows or more crushed Oreos if desired.
Notes
- We used whole milk in this recipe to produce a rich and creamy hot chocolate. 2% also works great, though skim milk starts to be a lot less creamy.
- You can use nondairy milk in this recipe. I recommend using oatmilk for the creamiest nondairy blend, but use your favorite. If you are making this drink nondairy, you can use nondairy chocolate chips. Oreo cookies are technically nondairy, but if the person you are serving has an allergy or intolerance always check with them first as to what they are able to eat and enjoy.
- You can crush the Oreo cookies with a food processor. Alternatively, you can put the cookies in a strong freezer-style zip-top bag. Gently with a rolling pin or heavy metal canned good, crush the cookies in the bag until they are crumbs. I like to crush a few extra cookies and adding it on top of the drink at the end as a pretty garnish.
