Instructions

For peach sauce:

  1. In a 12-inch saucepan, add olive oil and set over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the peaches, onion, jalapeño pepper, and garlic. Sauté till the onions and peaches are soft, about 10 minutes.
  3. In a blender, add the peach mixture along with the apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, bourbon, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ground ginger, kosher salt, chili powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Puree until smooth.
  4. Add back to the sauce pan and cook down until thickened and warmed throughout, about 10 minutes.

For grilled turkey legs:

  1. Heat your grill to medium heat, about 350-375 degrees F.
  2. Season your turkey legs with salt and pepper and add to the grill.
  3. Cook for 30 minutes, rotating the turkey leg every 10 minutes.
  4. Baste with the peach BBQ sauce and continue grilling and basting until the turkey legs reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees F, about 15 minutes.
  5. Full cooking time on the turkey could vary depending on size.
