Peach Smoothie
Description
The Peach Smoothie brings together ripe peaches and banana with skimmed milk and light coconut milk for a creamy texture. Greek yogurt adds thickness and slight tang, balancing the fruit’s sweetness. An optional tablespoon of honey may be included to adjust sweetness if desired.
Using fresh peaches is encouraged for optimal flavor, but frozen peaches are a suitable substitute. For vegan versions, almond or other plant-based milks and dairy-free yogurt can replace dairy ingredients. The smoothie can be enriched by adding cinnamon or tropical fruits such as mango to vary the flavor profile. Additionally, it can be thickened to serve as a smoothie bowl topped with nuts or fruits.
Ingredients
- 2 peaches chopped
- 1 banana
- 350 ml skimmed milk (almond milk works well too)
- 125 ml coconut milk light
- 2 tablespoon Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Instructions
- Put the chopped peach and sliced banana into a blender.
- Top up with the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
Notes
- Choose ripe peaches for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
- Substitute almond or other plant-based milks and yogurts to make this smoothie vegan.
- Use frozen peaches if fresh are not available, which also chill the smoothie.
- Adding half a teaspoon of cinnamon or some mango can enhance or change the flavor.
- Use leftover peach pulp from iced tea to intensify the peach taste.
- Make a thicker smoothie to serve in a bowl with toppings for a different presentation.
