Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 cups pecans finely chopped
  • 1 cup Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate melted
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil optional, for smoother chocolate

Instructions

STEP NO.1: PREPARE THE FILLING

  1. In a large bowl, mix chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter, syrup, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

STEP NO.2: SHAPE THE BALLS

  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

STEP NO.3: CHILL THE BALLS

  1. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.

STEP NO.4: MELT THE CHOCOLATE

  1. Melt chocolate and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.

STEP NO.5: DIP IN CHOCOLATE

  1. Using a fork, dip each pecan ball into the melted chocolate, coating evenly. Let excess chocolate drip off before placing back on the parchment-lined sheet.

STEP NO.6: SET AND SERVE

  1. Let the chocolate harden at room temperature or refrigerate for 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Graham Crackers: Add texture and balance sweetness.
  • Maple Syrup: Enhances the pecan pie flavor but can be replaced with corn syrup.
  • Chocolate Coating: Use dark, milk, or white chocolate for variety.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Bourbon Pecan Pie Balls: Add 1 tablespoon bourbon for a boozy kick.
  • Salted Caramel Pecan Balls: Drizzle with caramel and sprinkle sea salt.
  • White Chocolate Pecan Balls: Use melted white chocolate instead of dark.
  • Pumpkin Spice Pecan Balls: Add ½ teaspoon pumpkin spice for fall flavors.
