- 1 package Duncan Hines dark chocolate fudge cake mix (15.25 ounces)
- 1 large egg
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup salted butter softened (almost melted)
- 16 snack size York Peppermint Patties
- Sprinkles optional

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the cake mix, egg, cream cheese and butter until it is all well combined. The mixture will be very thick. 1 package Duncan Hines dark chocolate fudge cake mix, 1 large egg, 4 ounces cream cheese, 1/4 cup salted butter
- Make 16 balls out of the chocolate batter.
- Flatten each ball in the palm of your hand. Place a peppermint patty on each flattened ball and wrap the cookie dough around the peppermint patty so it is covered completely. Repeat with the remaining peppermint patties and dough. 16 snack size York Peppermint Patties
- Place the cookies on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with colored sprinkles, if desired. Bake for 10-11 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool for 4-5 minutes on the cookie sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
