Pisco Sour

Pisco sour is a traditional Peruvian cocktail based on pisco, lime juice, syrup that is topped with a frothy egg white foam and Angostura bitters.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. pisco
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 egg lightly beaten, white
  • Angostura bitters a few drops

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients but the bitter in a shaker, and add enough ice to double the volume of the liquid mixture.
  2. Shake vigorously for about 1 minute.
  3. Serve strained in a cocktail glass and decorate with 1 to 3 drops of Angostura bitters.
  4. Optional: Gently stir the top with a small straw or a toothpick to form a decorative pattern with the Angostura drops.
