Ingredients
- 2 hots espresso (mine is 4 oz) or ½ cup of strongly brewed coffee
- 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 to 1½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 cup milk
- Whipped Cream optional
Instructions
- To a measuring cup, add the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, maple syrup, and espresso and mix until well combined.
- Heat (and froth if desired) the milk until it is very hot (but not boiling). I use my Smeg, but you can also heat up the milk in a small saucepan. Add it to the pumpkin puree and coffee mixture.
- Mix until well combined. Serve as is or strain it through a fine mesh sieve.
- Serve immediately with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice if desired.
