Raspberry mojito

The raspberry mojito blends fresh mint leaves, raspberries, lime juice, sugar syrup, white rum, and soda water into a refreshing cocktail. Muddling releases delicate mint oils and raspberry flavor without overdoing it, providing a bright and balanced drink. Garnished with mint, lime, and raspberries, it offers a colorful and aromatic presentation perfect for a cool, fruity beverage.

Description

Raspberry mojito combines muddled mint and fresh raspberries with lime juice and sugar syrup, stirred together before adding white rum, ice, and topped with soda water. The gentle muddling technique ensures the mint flavor is bright but not bitter and the raspberries bring a subtle tartness without overpowering the drink.

The drink is served cold with plenty of ice and garnished with mint leaves, lime slices, and whole raspberries for a fresh appearance. The balance of sweetness, tartness, and herbal notes creates a layered and refreshing cocktail experience.

Adjust sweetness and tartness as preferred when mixing sugar syrup and lime. Using fresh, high-quality ingredients including rum improves the overall flavor. Chilling glasses prior to serving helps keep the cocktail cooler longer without rapid dilution.

The mixture can be stored refrigerated for 4-5 days but is best prepared fresh for optimal taste and texture.

  • lime juice from 1
  • ¼ cup sugar syrup 60 ml
  • ¼ cup white rum 60 ml
  • ice
  • soda water to taste

  • raspberry

Instructions

  1. Combine the mint, raspberries, lime juice and sugar syrup in a glass and crush the mint leaves as you mix.
  2. Then stir in the rum.
  3. Top with some ice and soda water before garnishing with mint, lime slices and raspberries.

Notes

  • Adjust the balance of sweetness and tartness to personal preference during mixing.
  • Muddle mint and raspberries gently to avoid bitterness or overly crushed fruit.
  • Chill glasses beforehand to keep drinks colder longer.
  • Use fresh mint, raspberries, and good-quality rum for best flavor.
  • Use plenty of ice; crushed ice chills faster without diluting too quickly.
  • The mix can be stored in the refrigerator for 4-5 days but is best made fresh.
