Sheet Pan Shrimp Tacos
Description
In this recipe, peeled and deveined medium shrimp are combined with melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, fresh lime juice, and a blend of chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, kosher salt, and black pepper. After tossing the shrimp gently to coat evenly, they are spread in a single layer on an oiled or sprayed baking sheet.
The shrimp are baked in a 400°F oven for about 8 to 10 minutes, getting just firm and pink without overcooking. Finely chopped fresh cilantro is stirred in after baking to add brightness. The shrimp are served immediately, nestled inside flour or corn tortillas and topped with shredded cabbage, sliced avocado, jalapeño, crumbled queso fresco, and optionally hot sauce.
This preparation yields flavorful shrimp with a balanced smoky and citrus-spiced profile. The use of the sheet pan offers convenience and easy cleanup. The tacos work well for a quick meal, allowing customization with preferred toppings and sauces.
