Slow Cooker Turtle Candy

Make turtles easily by melting chocolate in your slow cooker! This slow cooker turtle candy is sweet and salty. The perfect candy to give as a gift!

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces chocolate chips or wafers* (use any combination of chocolate you'd like!)
  • 10 ounces Kraft Caramel Bits
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • 40 miniature pretzels (whole, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Place the chocolate in a slow cooker and cover.
  2. Set the slow cooker to low and allow the chocolate to melt for about 45 minutes.
  3. Stir the chocolate.
  4. Add in the caramel bits and pecans. Mix well.
  5. Replace the cover and allow the chocolate to melt for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the caramel barely starts to soften.
  6. Turn the slow cooker off and add the crushed pretzels. Mix again.
  7. Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Using spoons, spoon the chocolate onto the paper in as big of drops as you'd like.
  9. Press a pretzel into the top of the chocolate. Or you can sprinkle with sprinkles if you prefer.
  10. Allow the chocolates to set. Let them cool to room temperature first, then if you'd like you can place them in the refrigerator to finish setting.
  11. Store in an airtight container.
