Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets.
- Mix the butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and eggs thoroughly using an electric mixer.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir to combine.
- Chill the dough for at least an hour.
- Form the dough into balls.
- Mix the cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar in a small bowl and roll the dough balls in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the greased cookie sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
