Spicy Mango Salsa

Spicy Mango Salsa blends diced mango with red chili, red onion, ginger, and lime juice, creating a sweet and tangy condiment with a hint of heat. Olive oil smooths the texture and fresh cilantro leaves are added just before serving for an herbaceous lift. Chilling the salsa lets the flavors meld and intensify, making it a lively topping for grilled meats, tacos, or as a side dip.

Description

This recipe uses peeled and diced mango combined with chopped red chili and finely diced red onion for sharpness and spice. Fresh lime juice adds acidity, while brown sugar balances the heat and tartness. Olive oil brings a slight richness that coats the fruit and vegetables, and optional fresh ginger adds warming spice. The mixture is chilled for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop well before stirring in fresh cilantro just prior to serving to preserve its brightness.

The salsa is characterized by soft, juicy mango pieces contrasting with crisp onion and a spicy kick from the chili. The lime juice provides a refreshing tart note, making it versatile to pair with grilled proteins or as a vibrant side condiment. The fresh coriander contributes a herby aroma and flavor that enhances the fruity and spicy elements.

Adjust chili quantity according to desired heat. Serving chilled improves the flavor integration. Freshness of ingredients is key to achieving balance between sweet, sour, and spicy.
