Description
This Strawberry Mojito begins by gently muddling fresh hulled strawberries, lime juice, granulated sugar, and mint leaves to release fruit juices and mint oils without shredding the leaves. The mixture is combined with crushed ice and silver rum, then topped with club soda to add effervescence. Garnishes such as strawberry slices, lime wheels, or mint sprigs enhance presentation.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup strawberry hulled, fresh
- 1/2 cup mint leaf fresh
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar or simple syrup
- 2 tbsp lime juice fresh
- ice crushed
- 1/2 cup white rum
- club soda for topping
- lices strawberry for garnish, or lime wheels or sprigs of mint
Instructions
- In two highball glasses, muddle strawberries, fresh lime juice, granulated sugar, and mint leaves with a muddler or the back of a spoon. You don't want to destroy the fresh mint leaves, just bruise them a little to release the oils.
- Add ice, pour in the silver rum,, and top with soda water.
- Garnish with lime slices, slices of strawberry, or a sprig of mint.
Notes
- For parties, prepare a pitcher version by blending strawberries into a puree and making a mint simple syrup before combining with rum and club soda.
