Notes

  • Use Teriyaki Sauce For:
  • Variations:
  • Make Ahead Instructions: Make this sauce and store it in an airtight container for up to a week in the refrigerator.
  • Freezing Instructions: Let the homemade teriyaki sauce cool completely then transfer to a freezer safe bag. Lay it flat in your freezer to save space. Let it thaw overnight in the refrigerator before using.
  • Hawaiian Bowls over Coconut Rice
  • Teriyaki Chicken
  • Dip with Air Fryer Tofu
  • The best Teriyaki Burger - add a ring of pineapple and slather teriyaki sauce on top of a Hamburger, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, or Turkey Burger.
  • Teriyaki Sauce Marinade: I love to use this as a marinade! Just pour 1/4 cup over raw chicken and let it marinate for 15 minutes (or longer if using chicken breasts).
  • Healthy Teriyaki Sauce: Decrease the sugar, to taste.
  • No Cornstarch: Use flour for a 1:1 ratio substitute.
  • Gluten-free: Make sure to use gluten-free soy sauce.
  • Vegan: Don't use the honey.
