Ingredients
- 1 tbs butter
- 4 pork chops (I highly recommend ButcherBox Pork Chops) We love ButcherBox Pork Chops
- 1 lb green beans trimmed
- 2 cups mushrooms sliced
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 small red onion chopped
- 1 tbs olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup marsala wine
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- sea salt, cracked black pepper and chopped fresh parsley optional for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare pork chops; season with salt and pepper on both sides
- In a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Brown pork chops on both sides; remove from pan, reserving drippings.
- Prepare veggies and combine them in a bowl with the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- In same skillet, sauté vegetables in drippings until lightly browned. Add in Marsala Wine and cream; stir into vegetables. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, just until vegetables are tender, 10-15 minutes.
- Add the pork chops back in; cook, covered, until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 145°, 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with salt, pepper and parsley.
