Thick, soft, and chewy, these are truly the Best Sugar Cookies! No chilling, no rolling, and they're ready in just 20 minutes. Customize to any occasion or holiday!

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), melted
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar or holiday sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer, cream together butter, sugar, and cream cheese. Beat well for 2-3 minutes.
- Add vanilla and beat in eggs one at a time.
- Slowly mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Create 1” balls and roll them in sugar or holiday sprinkles.
- Place cookie dough balls on a baking sheet about 2” apart.
- Sprinkle extra sugar or sprinkles on the top of the cookies before you bake them.
- Bake for 8-9 minutes or until the edges start to brown (8 minutes was perfect for my oven).
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let the cookies cool on a cookie sheet for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can always use different holiday sprinkles or any sprinkles you would like instead of granulated sugar.
- If the dough seems too soft to roll, put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before creating cookie balls.
