Ingredients
- 3 lbs. ground beef
- 1 large yellow onion chopped
- 5 cloves garlic minced
- 15 ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef stock
- 15 ounce can kidney beans drained and rinsed
- 30 ounces canned pinto beans drained and rinsed
- 3 Tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ cup cornmeal

Instructions
- 1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic over medium heat. Once browned, remove any extra liquid in the pot and return the beef to the pot.
- 2. Add the tomato sauce, beef broth, beans, seasonings and cornmeal, stirring well. Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 2 hours.
