Vietnamese Coffee

Vietnamese Coffee uses strong ground Vietnamese coffee brewed slowly through a drip filter over sweetened condensed milk. The slow drip method yields a rich, robust coffee with a smooth, creamy sweetness that can be enjoyed hot or iced, characteristic of this traditional beverage.

Description

Preparing Vietnamese Coffee involves placing sweetened condensed milk in a cup and brewing strong ground coffee slowly through a drip filter. Initially, a small amount of hot water lets the coffee bloom, then more water is added to extract flavor over several minutes.

The method produces a concentrated, full-bodied brew with a distinctive balance from the creamy, dense sweetness of the condensed milk. Stirring combines the layers for a smooth coffee drink, often enjoyed immediately or poured over ice for a refreshing variation.
