Air Fryer French Toast
Description
This recipe starts by whisking eggs with milk and warm spices including cinnamon and nutmeg, plus vanilla essence for fragrance. Each slice of stale bread is dipped individually in the custard mixture to soak and absorb the flavors without becoming soggy.
The air fryer is prepped with extra virgin olive oil spray for crisping. Bread slices cook at 180°C (360°F) for 4 minutes on each side, creating a golden surface with soft interiors. This cooking method avoids frying in oil, resulting in less grease and a lighter texture.
The finished French toast is dusted lightly with icing sugar, which adds sweetness and a delicate finish. Variations on the seasoning blend allow seasonal customization.
This recipe makes five slices, suitable for a small breakfast or snack. It emphasizes flexibility in spices and simplicity in preparation.

- Icing sugar (confectioners’ sugar) provides a sweet, fine-textured topping enhancing the French toast’s appeal.
