Instructions
- Prep the Ribs: There is a thin skin/membrane on the backside of the ribs that needs to be removed in order for the ribs to absorb the seasoning and pull apart easily. Take a paper towel to grab the edge of the membrane and gently pull it across the entire rack of ribs. If the membrane is holding tight and you cannot remove it this way, use a small knife to scrape the back of the ribs removing as much membrane as possible.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F.
- Cut the rack of ribs into four equal sections so it's easier to arrange in the air fryer. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Rub 1 tablespoon of meat seasoning over each section of ribs, coating on all sides.
- Wrap each section of ribs tightly in foil.
- Once the air fryer basket is hot, place the wrapped ribs in the air fryer basket. Close the basket and air fry for 30 minutes for tender ribs that hold to the bone, or for 35-40 minutes for ribs that are falling off the bone.
- Unwrap the foil packages and place the ribs back in the air fryer basket. Slather the ribs with barbecue sauce. Then air fry again for 5- 10 minutes, until the exterior is crispy around the edges.
- Brush with additional barbecue sauce, if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- Air fried ribs will keep well in the fridge for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container.
