In this delicious Amish Broccoli Salad, raw broccoli and cauliflower are coated with a creamy dressing with cheese and bacon on top.

Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli
- 1 head cauliflower
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 8 lices Bacon cooked
Instructions
- Dice the broccoli and cauliflower into bite-size pieces and combine them in a large bowl.
- Mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and salt in a separate bowl. Whisk until well combined.
- Pour the dressing over the veggies and stir to coat them thoroughly with the mixture. Add the cheese and stir to mix.
- Refrigerate for about an hour before serving. This allows the flavors to blend together.
- Crumble the bacon and add it right before serving, so it stays crispy.

- Keep the size of the cauliflower or broccoli florets manageable.
- The sweetness of the salad is one of its defining characteristics. But if you aren't a fan of a sweeter dressing, reduce the amount of sugar to 1/4 cup.
