Apple Pie Pancakes

Delicious pancakes with shredded apples and spices.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup white flour
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/8 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup shredded apple
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
Instructions
- Whisk together your dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the egg, milk, vanilla and apples all together.
- If you haven't already, get your griddle preheating at this point.
- Make a well into the dry ingredients and pour the wet mixture in. Mix them together until they are just combined and they are ready to go!
- These pancakes do take a little work to be spread out to cook, but it's worth it in the end. They will bubble a little bit on top like normal pancakes, but that's not how you can tell they are done. Watch for the edges to look cooked, and then that's when to flip.
