Bahama Mama Smoothie {Copycat Tropical Smoothie}

Report
The Bahama Mama Smoothie blends frozen pineapple and strawberries with coconut milk, coconut chunks, white chocolate chips, and optional vanilla protein powder to create a creamy tropical smoothie. Its blend of fruit and coconut delivers a rich, sweet flavor with a smooth texture, making it a refreshing option for a snack or light meal.

Description

This tropical smoothie mixes frozen pineapple and strawberry chunks with coconut milk and shredded coconut for a creamy base rich with tropical flavors. White chocolate chips add a subtle sweetness and smooth texture, while optional vanilla protein powder can boost nutrition and enhance the smoothie’s richness. Blending starts with the fruits and coconut products, then coconut milk is added gradually to achieve the desired consistency, providing control over thickness.

The smoothie's naturally fruity and creamy taste makes it suitable for breakfasts, snacks, or post-workout drinks. Toppings like fresh strawberries, pineapple slices, white chocolate drizzle, or coconut shavings can add texture and visual appeal.

Starting with less liquid and adding more as you blend helps maintain a thicker consistency typical of a smoothie rather than a juice. This controlled approach to blending ensures the smoothie holds a satisfying mouthfeel.

Ingredients

Servings
  • ¾ cup pineapple frozen
  • ¾ cup strawberry frozen
  • 1-2* cups coconut milk I used Silk Coconut Milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut chunks fresh or frozen
  • 1 ½ tbsp white chocolate chips
  • 1 coop protein powder optional, vanilla

Garnish

  • strawberry fresh
  • white chocolate to rim glass/drizzle, melted
  • pineapple slices
  • coconut shavings

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients into a high speed blender. Add the milk last, starting with just one cup and adding more as needed (More milk = thinner smoothie. Less milk = thicker smoothie).
  2. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until everything is combined. Add toppings of choice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Begin blending with less coconut milk and add more gradually to control the smoothie’s thickness.
  • Use frozen fruits for a cold, thick texture without needing ice.
