Ingredients
Shrimp
- 32 ounces 31/40 large shrimp peeled, deveined, and tail off
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ½ tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ tablespoon Frank's RedHot Hot Sauce
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (plus more as needed)
Sauce
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Sweet chili sauce
- ½ tablespoon Frank's RedHot Hot Sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- fresh parsley chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Mix all ingredients for the sauce together and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add hot sauce, egg, and buttermilk to the flour mixture and whisk until you have a smooth batter
- Add the shrimp to the batter, and toss to make sure each piece is coated in the batter. Set aside.
- In another bowl, add about a cup of Panko breadcrumbs.
- Remove shrimp from the batter and let the excess run into the bowl. Then coat each shrimp with breadcrumbs and place on the prepared baking sheet. Add more breadcrumbs to the bowl as needed.
- Bake shrimp for 10 minutes. Then flip shrimp over and bake for another 5-10 minutes or until the breadcrumbs turn golden.
- Drizzle shrimp with sauce or dip the shrimp in the sauce. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Nutrition assumes half of the batter and all of the sauce will be consumed.
